I recently finished this wedding invitation (left) and "papel picado" style banner artwork (right) for a wedding taking place in Cabo San Lucas later this year. The bride-to-be wanted a colorful, playful, yet elegant design. The cut paper style artwork will be used for banners and on wedding favors.

New Logo for Strongvon

Strongvon LLC specializes in internet solutions for martial arts events. They will soon release a new version of their tournament management software and were interested in revamping their logo. An important aspect for the re-design was ease of use across a variety of media and at a variety of sizes, including black and white – which is often overlooked these days in these days of "web 2.0" artwork. Second, the logo will be used on patches for gis and other martial arts equipment, so the design had to lend itself well to that application. We worked together and ended up with the solution you see above. Van Do, professional MMA fighter and the owner of Strongvon, chose the yellow and green colors because of her passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (yellow and green are colors of the Brazilian flag).
Cung Le's Universal Strength Headquarters Banner

Cung Le, a mixed martial arts and kickboxing superstar, opened his new gym, Cung Le's Universal Strength Headquarters last year. It took a while to decide what type of signage would work best for this location, which is located on a busy expressway but covered by trees (as you can partially see here). We finally decided that a digitally printed banner would work best, because it offered great flexibilty for the design, as opposed to standard channel letters or other types of wall signage. At 46 feet long by 6 foot 6 inches high, the images of Cung Le are larger than life. This banner should definately grab people's attention!
Ant Hill Signs website launch!

Today was the official launch of Ant Hill Sign's new website. Ant Hill specializes in custom signage so it was important for them to have site that would really showcae their products.
I designed this site in HTML, CSS and Flash. The challenge for this site was to make it easy for anyone to edit, without having to know Flash. To make that possible, the Flash utilizes XML files, so everything can be easily updated by uploading new photos and simply changing the text in the XML files.
